We did not go into Black Bear Diner to receive a free breakfast! We always pay and generously tip. My lady friend call to complain and Linda the manager informed her that we would get a free breakfast the next time we came in for breakfast. I know longer take my Veteran friends to this Black Bear Diner after our reunions. Now I mention it to my Family and other Veterans about the prejudicial treatment we received from this Black Bear Diner. I wanted to give her the benefit of doubt, but we eventually got up and left, passing by the waitress as she was seating another set of customers. We waited 40-45 minutes and the waitress would glance at us when seating and serving other customers, so she knew we were waiting for her to take our order. The waitress (linda) seated everyone after us away from us and it was obvious this was on purpose to keep the customers away from us. I took my lady friend to have breakfast last year and we were one of the first customers to be seated and waitress served us water and a cup of coffee, but that was the. Moreįollowup- clearly unfriendly to Veterans and/or prejudice to visible minorities. Positive… Kids activity sheets were super fun. Then we waited forever to check out my husband finally had to stand up and make eye contact with the server to pay and get out of there. Our cheeseburger salads were ok, but again the beef was super overdone. I finally broke apart the strip and pulled out some chicken from the middle just to get her to eat something. The chicken strips were so hard my Granddaughter wouldn’t eat them. The kids burgers were overdone to the point of being inedible, my grandson said it was too “crunchy”.

The food took forever, I finally asked for crackers to tide my grandson over when I snagged her for water. I had to literate our server as she was speeding past, not making eye contact in order to get more water. got our drinks and ordered pretty quickly, however our experience deteriorated from there. Our server was super attentive right when we sat down, even. We had two little, ordered chicken strips a mini burgers while my Hubby and I had a cheeseburger salad. I love the Tacoma Black Bear Diner, but the one in Sequim really disappointed today.
